MT799 is free-format bank-to-bank messaging. Fraud packs abuse the label: screenshots and PDFs titled “MT799 pre-advice” claim Sparkasse, Alfa, İşbank, or other names are “ready” for a huge transfer — then the middleman asks for fees to “release” the next step.

Tip streams have shown the same template recycled across different “scammer” entity names. The bank branding is the hook; the fee is the harvest.

Rule If your own bank cannot see or confirm the traffic, the “MT799” is not a bank message. It is a marketing graphic.
