RWA — “Ready, Willing and Able” — is a phrase that sounds like private banking. In fraud packs it is usually a template letter on a stolen or invented bank letterhead (JPMorgan-style, Deutsche Bank-style, HSBC-style) claiming the bank is ready to fund or receive a fantasy amount.
Desk traffic has repeatedly flagged fake RWAs tied to offshore-sounding entities and “providers.” The letter’s job is not to move money. Its job is to make the next fee feel procedural.
Verification A real bank comfort or commitment is confirmed bank-to-bank or via known officers. An RWA that only exists as a PDF on Telegram is theatre.
Red flags
- Absurd ticket sizes with no credit story
- Broken English + perfect logo
- No callable bank reference that survives a call to the real bank
- Immediate request for “arrangement” or “verification” fees
